WHAT IS EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), often called “tapping,” is a gentle technique that combines acupressure points with focused awareness on thoughts or emotions. By tapping on specific meridian points while talking through what’s coming up, we help calm the nervous system and release emotional intensity.

WHAT CAN EFT HELP WITH?

EFT can support anxiety, stress, overwhelm, limiting beliefs, past experiences, phobias, emotional triggers, and even physical symptoms connected to stress. It’s a versatile tool that helps regulate the nervous system and create more emotional balance.

HOW DOES TAPPING ACTUALLY WORK?

When we experience stress or emotional overwhelm, the body can go into fight-or-flight mode. Tapping on meridian points while acknowledging the issue sends calming signals to the brain, helping reduce the emotional charge around it. It allows the body to feel safe while processing what’s been held.

 

IS EFT BACKED BY SCIENCE?

Yes. EFT has been researched for its effectiveness in reducing stress, anxiety, PTSD symptoms, and emotional intensity. Studies show it can lower cortisol (the stress hormone) and support nervous system regulation.

HOW EFFECTIVE IS EFT?

EFT has been widely studied and shown to significantly reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional intensity. Many clients notice a shift within a single session, especially when working on specific memories or triggers. While results vary from person to person, it’s common to feel calmer, lighter, and more clear-headed afterwards.

IS EFT SAFE?

Yes, EFT is considered very safe when guided appropriately. It’s non-invasive and gentle. If deeper trauma surfaces, we move slowly and carefully, ensuring you feel supported throughout.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

It varies depending on what you’re working through. Some issues shift quickly, while others have deeper layers that benefit from multiple sessions. After your first session, we can get a feel for what may best support you moving forward.

CAN EFT BE DONE ONLINE?

Yes. EFT works beautifully online because you tap on your own points while I guide you. Many clients find online sessions just as effective as in-person sessions.

CAN I USE EFT BY MYSELF?

Absolutely. I encourage clients to use tapping between sessions once they feel confident. I can also teach you simple techniques to use at home to manage stress or emotional triggers as they arise.

WHAT DOES EFT FEEL LIKE?

Most people feel calmer, lighter, or more grounded after a session. Sometimes there can be emotional release (like tears), but it’s usually followed by relief and clarity. Everyone’s experience is unique.

HOW QUICKLY DOES EFT WORK?

Some issues can shift surprisingly quickly, especially phobias, specific fears, or recent events. More layered or long-standing patterns may take a few sessions to gently unpack. The beauty of EFT is that we can measure progress as we go by tracking how the intensity reduces during each round of tapping.

CAN EFT CREATE LASTING CHANGE?

Yes. When we fully clear the emotional charge from an experience, it often doesn’t return in the same way. Instead of just managing symptoms, we’re addressing the root emotional pattern, which allows for more lasting change.
